Diamond Cut

By Marvin R. Young

Snowflakes falling through the trees
a snowflake searches for stability
solid land presents security

I walk softly upon newly falling snow
an icy paradise of mystic shapes and grace
aware of darkness swallowing me
aware of shadows standing over me

I can see their crystal form
as they tumble into this world
encased by a intimate fate
with a lost of their geometric shape

liquefied upon my unclean face
made dirty by our mechanical waste
aware of their tragic fate
I seek a meaningful faith

I stand in silence with the trees
coldness engulfing me
life’s cycle overwhelming me
excitement overtaking me

                 Finally serenity
